Signs of the Times for 2009.

We begin this journey of what 2009 has in store for us, it's somewhat euphoric in it's mystery. What can happen? Can it get any worse? Will it be longer poverty lines in 2009? Will our leaders continue to whine in 2009?

Everyone will Shine in 2009, or will it be as graceful as a sip of fine wine in 2009?

Everything will be just fine in 2009.
Everything will begin to intertwine in 2009.

However you want to view this upcoming year, it will all depend of a collection consciousness of who we are becoming. More interesting news will finally come to light, and I'm sure many more people will get caught up in the rapture of the word as 2008 comes to an end.

Guess we all go through our own moments of reflection, whether good or bad. The great thing about having reflections is learning and growing. That's all that it's meant to do. If you had a bad year, then be happy you made it. If you had a good year, then be happy you made it. Doesn't really change that much.
Rapid changes in weather making an old fracture throb. Irritating. :(

Holiday Newsletter for 2008

Happy Holidays
from Our Family to Yours

2009 will be here
before you know it.

Well,
as this crazy year of 2008 comes to a close, I like to go over
the highlights if this year for me. First, I made a big move
living in a new town and a new way of life compared to Chicago.
I don’t think I will ever regret the move financially, but
spiritually, I felt little homesick very quickly. And with the
crazy gas prices over the summer, I couldn’t travel as much
as I wanted to. When I finally got my son ready for pre-school, I
felt that it was time for me to do the same. One of the best
decisions I made this year. It feels good to expand my
boundaries, and start taking this to the next level, since I’m
such a techy person.

What’s
next?

So, what do have planned for 2009? Well, of
course you have the weight loss thing to consider, and I’m
preparing for that as we speak. I didn’t overdo it this
holiday season, but this summer was the worst for me. I don’t
know why I gained more over the summer than winter. I can only
say that it could have been stress. Let’s see if this
“Time for Change” theme song will play for awhile as
a #1 hit!

Yuwie?? Aww Phuwie!!

While I'm sitting here LOL at my son trying to get all hip hop with Corey from Corey in the House, tryin to Rock Dis Xmas.... I trying to keep from being mad in his taste buds.

I made carrot cake for the first time, since I got my juicer. I buy alot of carrots to juice along with my cooking. I don't like cooked carrots that much unless I make them um.. sweet potato style. So increasing my carrot intake is great for me. Gotta keep the skin glowing.

Anyway, I decided to make some carrot cake with it instead of throw the pulp away. It turned out great. However, I didn't make the cream cheese topping because, well, I never like that too much.

So I though the kids would love it right. Sweet cake with pecans? Yum. NOT. Both my kids say no. I'm so surprised. Not at my daughter though. She doesn't like many sweets anyway. But my boy.. What?! Are you kidding.

Guess I will be calling some friends and family over for some carrot cake. I'm sure there will not be a crumb left.

Speaking of crumbs...
http://www.bigcrumbs.com/crumbs/landing.do?r=philena&s=38239
I got in BigCrumbs through Yuwie, and it looks cool. It even loads better than Yuwie. I'm trying to get the hang of Yuwie, but if it didn't take so d@*n long just to navigate through the site, I might do more with the thing.

http://r.yuwie.com/philena/
I know it's great to get paid to do what we are doing now in Myspace or Facebook, but if they really want to compete with money, then they better get their act together.

Anyway, I primarily use BigCrumbs to do my Ebay shopping with. It's great to get a good bid on Ebay, but even better to get some of the money back. Since I use Mela's marketplace to use loyalty dollars, I can be torn between which discount path should I use. Broken%20Heart

Next time...

My experiment with Google Sites.
Using my juicer for brain food. Then making carrot cake for the 1st time. Smells Good. http://ping.fm/DcK4K

My 3 cent opinion for today.

As we joke about shoes flying, we give are 2cents about how the world sees us and Bush. Is it embarrassing to you to have the representative of your country, no matter how much you hate the guy, get shoes flying by their head? How valuable do you consider that two cents?

"..when even higher metal prices drove the penny's cost to 1.67 cents, according to the Mint. The cost of making a nickel then was nearly a dime." -- CNN

It's time for change? Ok, what are we gonna do about our change? Coming from the Land of Lincoln, I wonder how Obama will handle this 50+million a year problem we lose in the cost of a penny. Consider the 200th anniversary for Lincoln is coming up next year as well... do you feel the irony in that?

Maybe it's me.

And that's my 3 cents for today.

Back to work! ...while I feel like it.

Chicken soup for my closest souls.

Issue# I had double dental appointments for my two kids who both chipped their front tooth. I never chipped my front teeth when I was a kid. Was I extra careful? Not sure. I was a little tom boyish, but they did very good today.

Issue# 2 I bought my son some new boots and he has fat feet. I can’t keep them all the way down, and he doesn’t try to push. Why I gotta sweat in the morning trying to pry his Flintstones in these boots.

Issue# 3 My cuzo is sick cause she has a slum landlord that we have to threaten with Channel 10 news if they didn’t get their act together. I had to hit her up with some Melagel. Treating it like Vicks vapor rum is good for decongesting and disinfecting.

Issue# 4 I need to get out and finish my work, but I have to wait til the soups done before I can go anywhere. *sigh* Well, I will be ready to roll out later. I just hope it doesn’t snow again. I just saw three car accident, and a police chase around the block. Been a lot of burglaries lately, I’m not surprise if authorities are closing in on folks.

Issue# 5 It’s finals! Nuff said.

Need MelaGel?

For only a $1, I'm back, cause my kids are sensitive to everything, and get into stuff. http://ping.fm/671J7
Finally got the eBay yellow star achievement award. How nice.
well, it seems to be pretty good. I guess I'm ready to vote.

So, I see 2012 Enigma is finally rating high in Google videos. That's
wonderful, because with all the doom and gloom 2012 has, it's about time
folks are paying attention to what really matters and what makes sense. All
those other "the world is going to end" sites gotta go. I was watching the
news the other day about the polar shifting some more after the tsunami
recently. Duh! If we were paying attention to the sun, we would have saw
this common like our ancient ancestors, but don't get me started.

Anyway. another #1 spot that the open source community is fighting for is
the Open Web Award.

Open Web Awards

Looks like ping.fm might get it. I'm test driving it now, and it looks
promising. We all want to find ways to make social networking easy, and it
looks like Ping will get the job done in collaboration with them all, and
truly showing the power of API. I can't wait to I get to that part in my
studies. Looks like it's fun and creative. Don't worry, that's the geeky
side of me talking.

Well, that's it for my blogging test run. I'll update later.
Ok I have to watch my sig lines. But its cool.
test two. Ok ping.fm, let's see if you deserve the open web award.

I can't blink

Well, this will be my last visit to the dentist for a long time. But this time I think he went to far.

It feels like I can't blink my eye and my contact is dry and trying to pop out. This is totally weird.

Well I'm getting it together. I started simpleology again. But this time it will be a lot easier because they added desktop tools that will really help me stay organized while clearing the clutter in my brain.

But what about when I'm mobile like, um, now?

Thankfully, a fellow business associate schooled on Jott. If you wanna find the easiest way to dreamcatch while you making errands you're gonna love Jott! Then when you do your daily Praxis you just copy/paste.

Deep blue sea at columbus zoo

Went to the Columbus Zoo, but the MMS didn't come through, so I have to update what I still had.

It was a fun time, and the kids got a well deserved nap because of all the action and excitement.

They will have a new water park there. It was still under construction, but it looks like they are just adding the finishing touchings.

It should be finished by June.

It's a little more confusing to navigate through compared to Brookfield zoo in Chicago, but nevertheless, it was very hands on and educational as always.

Eewww. Bugs at dentist

I'm at my new dentist for a tooth extraction that was long overdue since I had my son. And now my son is all over the place as usual because his being him.

Then he tries to go out the back door and that's when I saw them. Dead or about to die waterbug insects. Looks like they treated the place and they are going down.
